Murals
Most of the time I recognize my mortality and agree with John Lennon when he says that we’re all “just passing through.” But as an artist it’s inevitable to have days where I’m hyperconscious of legacy and the mark I’m leaving behind. When I think about the various lines that have intersected, joined together, and traveled parallel to one another all these years to culminate to these works that are out in the world, I become overwhelmed. About ninety-nine percent of that feeling is gratitude; the remaining one percent is the satisfaction of knowing I was able to do it, which translates to, “That means I can do more.”
“Art is for everybody ... I am interested in making art to be experienced and explored by as many individuals as possible with as many different individual ideas about the given piece with no final meaning attached. The viewer creates the reality, the meaning, the conception of the piece.”
